Zakłady Chemiczne „POLICE” SA - already using its public aid funds

Zakłady Chemiczne “POLICE” can already dispose of its public aid funds. The funds from the Industry Development Agency /IDA/ will mostly be used for the company's operations and the purchase of raw materials.

Today (16/06/2010), Z. Ch. “POLICE” SA hosted Mr Adam Leszkiewicz, Deputy Minister of Treasury. While he spent a few hours with us, he met with the Company's Management Board and the social side's representatives. The purposes of his visit related to business matters, and the topics discussed were connected with the public aid and the Company's restructuring.

Assessing the Company's situation, Mr Adam Leszkiewicz stated that Z.Ch. “POLICE” SA's condition is improving, but the Board is facing a number of challenges they need to rise to. During his meeting with representatives of the local mass-media, he announced that 150 m PLN in public aid has been already credited to Z.Ch. “POLICE” SA's bank account. - The Board must use these funds in such a way as to create mechanisms allowing for permanent stabilization of the Company's financial situation – Deputy Minister of Treasury, Adam Leszkiewicz said.

- This money must be spent on the Company's operations – said Zbigniew Miklewicz, the President of the Company's Board. - When preparing the Company to the autumn season, we will mainly spend it on basic raw materials for our production, namely gas, phosphorites and potassium salt – Z. Miklewicz added.

Presently, talks are being held with PGNiG about the possibility of repaying liabilities in another form. As the discussions are still pending, I would not like to talk about any specific solutions yet. Still, it has to be stressed that the sides share a strong will to agree, and there is a chance that the negotiations bring results that are satisfying to both the companies. - President of Z. Ch. “POLICE” SA's Board, Zbigniew Miklewicz said.
